This information may be your name, surname, date of birth, ID number, e-mail address, password, secret question/answer, bank account, IP address, location, etc. Social engineering is the use of lies and manipulation to obtain the necessary information. This is a non-technical type of intrusion, and relies mainly on human interaction, leading people to destroy normal defense procedures.
